MN38-E Event Description: Britain's ringing victory of the Napoleonic Wars at sea was the Battle of Trafalgar, fought off the southwest coast of Spain on October 21, 1805. Twenty-seven line-of-battle ships under the command of Admiral Lord Nelson decisively engaged and smashed a larger force of 33 French and Spanish ships under the command of France's Admiral de Villeneuve. It forever ended Napoleon's dream of an invasion of England and established the Royal Navy's near-monopoly on global sea-power for the next century. This game will be a decidedly lighter treatment of the battle using a modification of Kevin Dunn's 'Damn Monitors Again' tabletop naval rules. Beginners (and grognards looking for a break between heavier sessions) are encouraged to play. Minimum Number of Players:
